Ghost of Trayvon Martin (Tribute)

Tribute in song to Trayvon Martin the slain teenager from the incident on February 26, 2012, in Sanford, Florida. This is not a promotional recording or demo. This is imply an artistic presentation and expression. Let us never forget the lives that have been taken in this country and around the world as a result of racism, ageism and any other -ism that has in the eyes of the powers that be merited the termination of life without legal ramification and consequence.

For more information on the progression of the trial you can access any major news outlet. To play a part in overlying and underlying factors of this “trial” and news cycle juggernaut you can contact your local government officials, public figures and community organizations to find out how you can get involved in legislation and the protection of the rights and, more importantly, the lives of our youth today.

Ignorant Pain – July 9, 2013

Imageignorant pain track listing
July 9, 2013, Florida-emcee, Jasonplusone will be presenting you with a musical extension in the Journey Series. Ignorant Pain (IP) is another biographical project, similar to the debut project Intellectual Bliss, which chronicles the continued journey of this emcee. Addressing timeless issues within inner-city communities, similar to his hometown of Jacksonville, and the social dynamics of the United States, the voice of this project seeks to raise both awareness and artistic appreciation. Reaching back to the 1960′s, Ignorant Pain digs into our past with documentary-like narratives that could most certainly parallel our modern culture and ideologies. Timely, unapologetic lyrics born from experiences and perspectives are accompanied by hand-selected production to bring you expressions of Ignorant Pain.

2013 Savannah Urban Arts Festival

The Line Up 2013

The Line Up 2013

Good day #IBNation! I know things have been quiet around here but we’re about to (please forgive me) TURN UP!!! lol

I would first like to extend a tremendous amount of appreciation to my brother in Hip Hop arms, Mr. Al Pete, for assisting in establishing the connection I’m developing with Savannah via the Savannah Urban Arts Festival. Appreciation and gratitude is also to be extended to DaVena Jordan,Patrick Rogers and the staff of the festival who’ve been bringing an amazing urban arts experience to the Savannah area. Their hard work and passion does not go unnoticed.

On Saturday, April 27th, I’ve been selected among some very dope regional/national artists to contribute to one of this year’s musical components. If you’re in the area or just in need of a great road trip to Savannah come up, down or out to the Congress Street Social Club in beautiful downtown Savannah. Not to mention all of the other great events the festival has to offer leading up to a weekend of dope emcees and singers including some of my Duval partners in rhyme (The iGive, Mr. Al PeteĀ  & the lovely Miss MJ Baker).

While new faces are an asset to many an artist, it would be great to see some familiar faces…that always seems to bring a special energy to the experience! SEE YOU ALL THERE!

MORE DETAILS TO COME!!!!
